Verification of behaviour that could reasonably be expected to pose a threat to the physical or psychological safety of students

Prior to hiring, our school board must ensure that the persons called upon to work with its students who are minors or handicapped or to be in regular contact with them have not behaved in a way that could reasonably give rise to fear for the physical or psychological safety of our students during the performance of their duties in another school board, school service centre or in private schools in the province of Québec. To this end, our hiring process includes a step to verify the presence or absence of this type of behaviour.

Furthermore, given its very specific purpose, behavioural verifications cannot replace the reference checks usually carried out as part of the hiring process.
